DynarchLIB Applications
» Ymacs — source code editor
Ymacs is a text editor designed to replace the textarea in those cases where the textarea is simply unbearable—such as writing code. Ymacs started out as an experiment, but became a pretty solid editor, following Emacs key bindings and a lot of other concepts, such as split frames, multiple buffers, special support for programming modes, syntax highlighting etc.
Ymacs is released under the terms of a BSD-like license.
» Xuheki Webmail
Free under the GNU General Public License, Xuheki is a fine Webmail application built on top of Apache / Perl and mod_perl. The user interface is powered by DynarchLIB. Xuheki supports IMAP and has most features that you would expect from a fine email application. It's comparable to desktop applications in speed and responsiveness.
» Dynarch Chess
Free online chess game built with DynarchLIB. This application puts to value a lot of features in DynarchLIB — it makes use of many widgets, it uses Flash sockets for instant communication with the server, encryption framework, animation features, etc. Without DynarchLIB, writing such a game would have been considerably more work.
This is a solid demo of our toolkit, showing that it can be used for world class applications.
Note: you must have the Flash player plugin installed in your browser; Flash is used for client-server communication.
Give it a try and bring your friends and family too. ;-)
» TagForge
DynarchLIB started in fact as a supporting library for TagForge, a content management system. This CMS never ended up what I wanted it to be, so it's not yet published (and also we don't have any public demos of it). But I do use it to maintain my personal website. See some screen-shots below.
» DynarchLIB Interactive Documentation
This project is part of DynarchLIB itself. It's an “interactive documentation”, if you wish; it contains a lot of code samples that you can actually modify and run, in order to test and learn DynarchLIB.
It also features an API reference (still working on it).
